Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing to book your holiday with us. We really look forward to welcoming you, by making this booking you are entering into an agreement with Briarwood Leisure Ltd. Please read our terms and conditions below.


PRICES BOOKINGS / PAYMENTS/ CONFIRMATION

The prices quoted are per Bell Tent and includes all bed linen, pillows and towels for up to 2 adults and 2 children people per Belle Tent. The prices featured on the website are not binding; Briarwood Glamping reserves the right to modify the prices.  However prices stated on the booking confirmation invoice are binding.

The dates of your booking will be held upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of 30% or payment in full. Any booking less than 30 days in advance of your stay must be paid for in full immediately.

Payment can be made by bank transfer, credit/debit card over the phone or by cash on arrival by prior agreement.

Once we have received your deposit a booking confirmation will be sent to you containing all the details of your stay and of payments due and made.

Where a deposit has been paid, the full balance payment will be due 6 weeks in advance of your arrival date, a reminder will be sent to you two weeks prior to the date.

Once we have received your full payment a booking confirmation will be sent out to you, if you haven’t received this within 2 days please notify us as soon as possible. Please check your confirmation email is correct and notify us immediately if there are any inaccuracies.

The person who signs the booking form certifies that they agree to these booking terms and conditions on behalf of all persons who may accompany you on your booking including those that may be added at a later date and that you are over 18 years of age.

CANCELLATION

  1. Cancellation by you at any time will result in your deposit being forfeited, as all deposits are non-refundable.

  2. All monies paid for a holiday (deposit and balance) are non-refundable within 4 weeks before check-in date. 

  3. Cancellation of any holiday after it has been paid in full and at a date 4 weeks or more in advance of your check-in date, will result in forfeiture of your deposit and the balance being returned to you.

  4. Cancellation insurance is advisable but does not involve us in any way. We strongly advise that you take out insurance if you are arranging any booking.

  5. Force majeure Force majeure on the side of Briarwood Glamping exists if the implementation of the agreement is entirely or partially, temporarily or permanently, prevented due to circumstances which are beyond the control of Briarwood Glamping including threat of war, staff strikes, blockades, fire, floods and other disruptions or events.

  6. Briarwood Glamping are not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event they are prevented from fulfilling your Booking as a result of circumstances beyond their control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, pandemics, health risks or such similar events ("Force Majeure"). We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover this.

  7. If we are made aware or discover that the nature of your booking is inaccurate and/or contravenes our booking conditions we may without liability cancel your booking without a refund to you.

GROUP BOOKINGS

It is the right of Briarwood Glamping to refuse group bookings if we feel they may be detrimental to our other guests. We do not accept Hen or Stag groups without indepth prior agreement. Whole site bookings will be considered.

ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE

Your Bell Tent will be available from 3pm on the day of your arrival, we may not be able to accommodate you if you arrive early as we will be busy getting everything ready for your stay.  Please make sure to arrive before 8pm so we can show you where everything is.

Please vacate your Bell Tent by 11am on the day of your departure, this is to allow us time to change over before the next guests arrive in the afternoon.

INSIDE YOUR BELLE

Please always make sure to remove your shoes and boots before you enter.

Candles, tea lights and all naked flames are strictly forbidden inside your Bell Tent and across the site apart from at your personal picnic table.

CONNECTIVITY

There is good 4G coverage across the site for most networks. There is access to wifi in certain areas by prior agreement with the management and subject to excess bandwidth being available.

  

PETS

We are very much Dog Friendly. There is a one off charge of £25 for the duration of your stay per dog to a maximum of two. You must abide by the Briarwood Dog Code.


SMOKING


Briarwood is a wooded wilderness and as such naked flames have to be strictly controlled for safety reasons. However if you which to be able to smoke whilst holidaying with us we can offer a facility in close proximity to your Bell Tent. Please ask us for further terms and conditions prior to booking.


DAY VISITORS

Non guests are not permitted on site.


NOISE AND GUEST BEHAVIOUR

Please keep noise to a minimum between 10pm and 6am.  Please do not play amplified music of any sort during these times. All Old Brickyard services will be switched off by 11pm. Whole Site Bookings will be subject to separate timings to be agreed. Briarwood is a lively, quirky place. You will be surrounded by nature and its noises throughout your stay and we are bordered by a train line at the bottom of the site. You will not get complete peace and quiet with us but you will get bird song, sheep song, cow song and the odd rattler but you are also expected to respect your fellow glampers especially during the quiet hours.  

You and your invitees undertake that you will behave in a proper, appropriate and legal manner with due respect to us, our other guests on site, our employees or agents, the site, property, animals, neighbours and any third parties on our property. No illegal substances will be tolerated on the site. If you or any of your invitees behave inappropriately or improperly (of which we shall be the sole and final judge on our site) or illegally, we reserve the right (with or without the intervention of the police depending on the nature of the behaviour) to ask you and/all of your invitees (at our sole discretion) to leave the site before the end of the booking period. No refund will be given in these circumstances. In addition, we reserve the right to bring legal proceedings or charge you and/or any of your invitees for any loss, damage or injury caused to us, our belle tents, properties, any animals or other property owned by us or our other guests/third parties and/or their property.

Fire pits are only permitted in the location you find them in.

You are responsible for any breakages or damage that you cause to the Belle Tent or it’s contents, please report any incidents when they happen. We may send you an invoice for repairs or replacements to broken items.

We reserve the right to make an additional charge for cleaning if the Belle Tent is left unreasonably dirty.


RECYCLING  & WASTAGE

Guest are asked to sort through all items and put them into the correct recycling bins as well as switch off lights, showers and water taps when not needed.


LIABILITY / RESPONSIBILITY

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or your possessions whilst on site.  By booking to stay at Briarwood Glamping you agree to be responsible for your children and their care.

You will be staying at a historic site, a former brickworks in time gone by with various historic structures still on site. You must abide by all signage and direction from site management.

They are several sources of water around the site, which are unfenced ranging in depth from 0.3m to 0.8m. Your children should not be left unaccompanied on the site at any time.  

While we take every care to keep you safe, accidents can happen and it is your responsibility to supervise your children.

We will not be liable for any force majeure or other event outside of our control, which cancels your booking or cuts short your booking if the event occurs while you are here. We will endeavour to offer you relocation or at our sole discretion a % refund (as applicable) otherwise you must advise your insurer.

We want you to have an amazing staycation summer with us and join us on our future journey but above all, we want you to be safe. Please be sensible, supervise your children and pets and recognise the fire, water and historical safety risks. If you have any queries or concerns please address them with the site management.

Fire Pits / BBQ use

We reserve the right to withdraw the use of fire pits, charcoal and disposable bbqs due to the extremely dry conditions and the increased risk of fire. This is sometimes necessary to comply with advice from the Fire Brigade and Council and conditions under our insurance. We apologise if we have to follow this policy but accept no liability for loss of amenity.

Our Four Legged Friends

Briarwood Glamping Dog Policy

Dogs are most welcome at Briarwood Glamping. We are located in the beautiful Rutland countryside, we have the perfect location for you and your canine companions to take al fresco meals, have a run out, or enjoy a bit of sunbathing. Whilst your four legged friend will have to be on a lead in the majority of the site we have a large field as you come in where you will be able to exercise or a multitude of walks literally on our doorstep.

Please specify at the time of booking if you intend to bring your dog(s). An extra charge is applicable of £25 per animal, per stay with up to a maximum of two pets allowed in each Bell Tent. Registered guide and hearing dogs belonging to those with visual and hearing impairments stay without charge.


Canine Code of Conduct

For your pet’s safety and the consideration of other guests, we do ask that dogs and their owners follow a few simple rules while they are staying:

  • Dogs must always be properly controlled and supervised even when in the exercise field.

  • Within the main areas of the site they must be on a lead. Not all outside areas are completely escape-proof for dogs and we are bordered on both sides by farmers’ fields regularly frequented by sheep and cows.

  • Dogs must not be left unattended in the Belle Tents. All our local pub/restaurants are dog friendly.

  • Dogs are not permitted on the beds or on any furniture. We therefore advise owners to bring a dog bed/basket.

  • Guests are asked to clean up after dogs, both inside and outside of the property, or extra cleaning costs may be charged. Bins are available around the site for the disposal of dog waste we will also provide you with poo bags on request.



Prohibited Breeds

In the interest of guest safety – especially children – and the welfare of other guests’ dogs, the following breeds of dogs are not allowed at Briarwood Glamping. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.

  1. Breeds classified under the Dangerous Dogs Act:
    Pit Bull Terriers, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero.

  2. Other prohibited breeds:
    Rottweilers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Chow Chows, Alaskan Malamutes, Bull Mastiffs, English Bull Terriers, Japanese Akitas.


Dog Sitting Service

In certain circumstances, we may be able to dog sit for you for a small fee or recommend someone locally. Please ask for more details.

We respect your right to privacy, and have put in place security measures for your personal data, along with ensuring that your personal data is managed in accordance with applicable data privacy regulations.
Please note that Briarwood Leisure Ltd is the Data Controller of your personal data. If we associate or combine information from other sources with Personal Data that we collect through this website, we will treat this information as Personal Data in accordance with this policy.

Our services are not designed for, or intentionally targeted at, children 13 years of age or younger. We do not intentionally collect or maintain data about anyone under the age of 13.

We use the information we collect for a variety of ways in providing our service, including the following:

We use information to operate and enhance all features of this website, to provide services and information requested by visitors of the website.

3.b) Improvements to the website

We work with third party services who provide website development, hosting, maintenance, and other services for us. We utilise aggregated, or otherwise non-personally identifiable information for a number of purposes, including measuring and analysing site usage, system administration, and improving our site. We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, or to otherwise cooperate with law enforcement or governmental agencies.
We reserve the right to disclose personal data in order to take precautions against liability, or protect ourselves or others from fraudulent or unlawful uses or activity.
